The mellow yellow glitters
against the green
Peeking from the clustered blue
is a streak of orange
Shimmering, glinting the colors
of aubergine
Against the mossy canvas seem
strange
Yet beautiful, there is a
definite spring in the air!
The peaceful wood under the
verdant canopy
Stoops low as if to caress
The lines on the ageing hand seem
happy
Indeed, the years have mellowed
the face
Autumn has a spring in its step!
Fluttering flitting the yellow
and the white
Gliding across the bushy is
nature’s rhyme…
Hurried yet calm, the rhythm is
fun and light
Silence speaks in a mime…
Whispering the secret of spring
in autumn!
